We offer you simple schemes with an approximate calculation of the volume of yarn for different types of products. Of course, for each thing you still have to knit a sample, and everything will need to be considered individually. But pivot tables will help you get oriented in order to understand at least the scale of expenses for high-quality Lavita yarn or any other brand of thread that you take to work.

In terms of footage, a good warm sweater will take about 1200-1500 meters (with and without a collar). For a vest, count to approximately 600 meters. A long wide scarf will require from 400 meters. This is for knitting. When crocheting, add 25% of the weight or footage of yarn for hand knitting. We also add 15% if there are complex volumetric patterns, fringe, pom-poms, border.
